Another Side

Guitarist Helen Avakian is an extremely versatile musician, performing on her own and with various groups ranging from orchestras to theatre and dance companies. She has appeared at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, on WNYC and WQXR New York city radio, and on PBS television. She shared the stage with actors Vanessa and Rachel Redgrave as the guitarist in their production of "Sarah Bernhardt Comes to Town," and she is an accompanist for the Flamenco dance program at Bard College.

Ms. Avakian's classical repertoire includes selections from the renaissance through modern day, from Bach to Mozart to Villa Lobos, as well as traditional Flamenco and Spanish music. She is available for corporate and private engagements.
